This guide will walk you through installing a 46" Door Armor Jamb Shield on your door. The jamb shield reinforces the lock strike plate area of your door frame, enhancing your home's security.
Before you begin:
Gather the tools:
- Drill
- Drill bit (size will depend on screw type)
- Screwdriver (or corresponding screwdriver based on screw type)
- Pencil
- Level
Materials:

- Mounting screws (included with the jamb shield)
Steps:
- Prepare the door jamb:
- Open the door.
- Locate the area around the strike plate (the metal plate on the door jamb where the deadbolt locks).
- Ensure the surface is clean and free of dirt, dust, or debris.
- Position the jamb shield:
- Hold the jamb shield next to the door jamb, aligning the holes on the shield with the holes on the strike plate. The longer side of the shield should run vertically next to the strike plate.
